The area around Oban is perfect for Munro baggers who really enjoy the most stunning views over the lochs, sea and landscape.
Not only are they varied and challenging, but their proximity to the coast, Lochs Creran, Etive, Awe etc make them unique experiences and wondrous opportunities for stunning photography.
There are 20 Munros within driving distance of Oban .. it really is the place to come.
Ben Cruachan is the most iconic mountain that overlooks all our communities and has dominated our heritage for centuries.
Beinn Lora is only 328 m but the pretty steep incline, and the views from the top make it worthy of attention (and its just a couple of miles from Kintaline House, starting from the Forestry Commission car park in the village of Benderloch)
Beinn Sgulliard (1240m) rises out of the head of Loch Creran just a few miles to the north.
(I will add more details of the rest of our Munros mountains over 3000ft meantime explore our most local hills on WalkHighlands)
