The Isles of Kerrera is such a lovely.day out for the walkers amongst you.
There are 2 ferries, one to the marina at the North end, that comes into the North Pier, the other along the Gallanach road (several miles on from the ferry terminal).
Both are foot passengers only.
There are well marked and described walks around the island with several cross tracks
The views are amazing across to Mull and up and down Loch Linnhe
There are old steadings, active farms, Gylen Castle
But most importantly There is fabulous food
One must stop is the Isle of Kerrera tearoom, just opened for the 2024 season.
There are also farm shops to find
And the wonderful Marina cafe at the North: it's a Kerrera farmer who runs it, so you know that meat will have the best flavour and the fewest miles possible.
