Oban is Scotland’s Town of the Year
Oban has been crowned Scotlands town of the year following the immense community efforts hosting nationally significant events like the incredibly successful Clipper race where 12 round the world sailing ships graced us with their colourful presence for 10 days, their first UK landfall, after Washington USA !
October has seen 10,000 people come to enjoy the music, dance, creativity and culture of the Royal National Mod that filled the town with sights and sounds, back in its original home.
For a town of less than 8,500 people we are definitely punching above our weight, attracting visitors from around the globe.
I just love meeting people from so many countries and cultures, welcoming you to Kintaline and our wider area.
