As I write this the sun is shining, fluffy blue clouds pass by the window, but half an hour ago I got caught out in the rain as I checked my sheep !
It is still an amazingly beautiful place to be :The Times has chosen Oban as one of their 6 places that is just as good to visit on a rainy day as when it is azure skies : you can visit the distillery, savour a warming Oban Chocolate Shop steaming hot chocolate, with scrumptious home made cakes, wander around the grounds of Dunollie House and Castle, enjoy the unique talents of our local creative artists at Made in Argyll shop on the pier, and watch the ferries passing in and out of the harbour taking locals and visitors to and from the islands. And the best part is coming home, with some delicious local produce, to the cosy comfort of Kintaline, enjoying each others company in front of the woodstove, watching the weather out of the conservatory, finding a book, getting competitive over a game, or reminising around a jigsaw.
