It is very exciting to hear that the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is coming back to Oban in the summer of 2026. 2024 was our very first time hosting this amazing fleet of round the world yacht racing boats, and we all had such fun. All the local businesses, organisers, volunteers did an amazing job to crrate such a welcome and entertainment for the crews, and locals alike. 2026 will be even bigger, better, with more activities and events to enjoy. As the crews are just about to depart for their epic journey around the globe in their beautiful 70 foot ocean racing yachts, it is impossible to say exactly when they will be heading into Oban but working from last year it could be from the 10th to the 19th July so those weekends and throught the week could be packed with even More Fun and activities than normal, and they are pretty busy already.
