An Comunn Gàidhealach was founded in Oban in 1891 by Ledaig Bard, John Campbell, of Benderloch.
It has supported the
teaching, learning and use of the Gaelic language and the study and
cultivation of Gaelic literature, history, music and art for over 100
years. The upcoming year promises to be an unforgettable chapter in its history.
Participants will journey from every corner of Scotland and around the globe, joined by families, supporters, and curious visitors eager to partake in the exhilarating festivities that celebrate the richness of the Gaelic language and culture through song, musical prowess, and much more.
Venues across Oban will host events for children, adults, and choir ensembles, culminating in the coveted gold medal awards. Additionally, an enticing fringe event will run throughout the week, offering concerts and exhibitions suitable for attendees of all ages.
