From facebook Practical Sea Kayak Navigation 1/2 August with Laura Bennitt 12/13 September with Tony Hammock Come and learn the essential art of sea kayak navigation on our upcoming Practical Navigation courses. We'll spend the first day in the classroom delving into tides, how they work and how to plan for them. We'll look at weather patterns and route choices, and work through real trip plans. On day 2 we'll head out onto the water, putting one of our plans into practice to see if it works. We'll focus on navigation and route-finding, thinking about what information we need to hand, and how to make use of tools like compass and GPS.
